i went to the student union tonight because there was a 2-for-1 special on drinks w/my roommate & our mutual friend, and met the most adorable couple of british guys and this one irish guy (who i talked to the most).

and then we proceeded to roam around the city for a good two hours looking for an open bar/club/pub/etc. just being ridiculous. i only just now got home and am exhausted times a bazillion. especially considering my earlier trip to greenwich today, which also involved a lot of walking. my feet are about to fall off (i don't even think i've walked that much at once in MANHATTAN)!

note to self: the intrepid fox is a scary-looking place. for the gothic vampires & WEREWOLVES in london, i think.

also, michael cera can SUCK IT with his anti-arrested development movie talk. it makes me want to drag out the family guy john mayer meme and replace john mayer with michael cera. and to think i was in love with this kid (and his doppleganger back in VA) just a couple of months ago.

it's been almost a week since i got here, and i'm still getting used to the immense time difference. i've needed a nap just about every day since wednesday. it's ultrarough getting to sleep at the right time, too.

but london's great! NYU-L is great, too. knowing that kate winslet & leo dicaprio were here last night for their "revolutionary road" premiere and i didn't go is a little heartbreaking. but it's not like i do that kind of stuff in new york, either.

first classes were today. i had east european gov't & politics, but that lasted for an hour. i love first classes. it's the subsequent classes where you actually have to WORK that always get me. fail.

tomorrow's british politics & THE INAUGURATION. i'm really crushed that i can't be amongst so many people who voted for obama. new york would've been an amazing place to see people celebrating the official beginning of his presidency. on the plus side, though, there are several american bars here that we might check out. i'm pretty excited to see how foreigners view the ushering-in of a new political era. my EEG&P professor was definitely enthusiastic and i'm sure other londoners & english people in general are looking toward america's 44h president for some much-needed change in the global political atmosphere.

i'm in desperate need of lunch (well, it's 5PM now, so i suppose dinnertime; PS: i'll probably return to america ten pounds lighter, as i've been inadvertently skipping meals thanks to my constant sleeping)/food shopping.

i wonder if i should take advantage of my LJ now that it could be shutting down soon.
well, take advantage of it in terms of actually writing something, because as of now, this is only so i can COMMENT ON EPIC ONTD POSTS.
what to do, what to do.
